Our History
Established in 1978, Umoja Shoe Company Ltd, consisted of a mere 17 employees with one operating warehouse. Over the years we have grown into the giant we are courtesy of dedicated management, well trained staff and state of the art technology. With our 2200 strong workforce and 24 warehouses, today we can produce 250,000 pairs of durable fashion savvy footwear daily.
Umoja Shoe Company Ltd, is a part of the life blood of Kilifi County, and a solid pillar of the East African economy. Our rapid and successful expansion has enabled diversification in our products one of which includes ACE® Safety Shoes.
